Electric scooters In Bangladesh: utility and limitations.

Recently Electric scooters have become very much popular among the scooter lovers in Bangladesh. Obviously low cost, no hazard of government registration, stylish look contribute to their uprising. there are several local and chinese brands are providing electric scooters. Lets discuss about their utility and value for money.

        

                     Green Tiger E-bike

E bikes are eye catching, economical, and extremely light weight. Build quality is not so good usually. Being light weight it is easy for city riding but on the other hand its control and handling is not very satisfactory.

Now come to speed. They can easily have top speed of 65km/hour. But acceleration may not be swift like gasoline scooters. Although its enough for city riding.

In terms of milage, they can run 60-70km on a single full charge. What happens then? You have to charge it full that takes 8-10 hours. Thats why its not appropriate for long ride.

 E-bike run on electric motor scooter. Its life time far less than gasoline engines. After 6-7 years usage you have to change the motor.

Besides its suspension, braking all are below par with the gasoline scooters.

    

The only positive side is cost effective and environment friendly.

There is no need of registration of E-bike in Bangladesh. But there is no road permission of

running electric scooter. So you may face legal action.

In conclusion, if you need something for short commuting on plain roads, and u want to use it for 4-5 years then you can choose electric scooter.

But as a user of both types of scooters i suggest you to buy petrol scooters with same price range and better configuration. You may consider the likes of Znen classic, goldfish, tvs scooty pep+ and hero pleasure.
